About

Who I Am

Thirteen years ago my husband bought me my first DSLR camera. As he will tell you, I wasn’t happy that he spent so much money, but I also wouldn’t let him take it back. Let’s not be crazy. He has no idea the journey he was starting for me. Soon, the camera became just an extension of my arm. As a documentary photographer, I have thousands of photos of my children through the years. It is amazing how you don’t notice a change until you see it in a photo. You will see photos of my children laughing, crying, and everything in between. I have amazing photos of them on top of beautiful mountains, riding rides at Disney and everyday moments in our kitchen. Sure, I have beautiful photos of them sitting smiling at the camera too, but those don’t mean nearly as much. That is why I started this business. I wanted families to have the photos that we have to remember these fleeting years in our lives.

When I am not taking photos, you will often find me walking, hiking, travelling, cheering on my beloved Cubbies or driving my kids to their next sporting event. I am married to my high school sweetheart and am mama to two boys who keep me busy. I prefer a good book and night in over a night out. I eat way too much breakfast cereal and am always up for a good hug.

“There is one thing the photograph must contain, the humanity of the moment.”
